Hello my name is Keith Davidson I am a friend of Sylvester’s from the United States. I hope you are enjoying the conference and that the Lord is blessing your time together.
Are you thirsty, spiritually thirsty? Do you desire to be filled in your hearts and in your souls? The bible tells us in Isaiah 55:1 the following:
"Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Gods goodness and love is abundant, He is available to meet us (any and all of us) right where we are at today. There is no cost; there are no requirements except to respond from your heart in honesty and openness to receive from His abundant storehouse of love.
God cannot lie and His promises are true,
James 1:17 says,
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
God desires honesty and truth far beyond our good works. Good works without love mean nothing, the Pharisees had many good works but they greatly lacked truth, honesty and true love. They fooled themselves in believing they pleased God but they were more concerned about impressing other people.
Be honest and continue to honestly ask God questions, continue to dream beyond yourself, continue to hope beyond yourself, continue to trust beyond yourself. God will respond to an honest and humble heart, He will respond to our questions, and answer our prayers. He is good and everything about Him is good. He desires truth from us, all will be revealed in the end anyway so why not be honest now.
Here is James 1:17 in the Amplified Bible, (the Amplified Bible brings out more meaning from the original Greek language the New Testament was written in),
Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].
These gifts come when we respond to God and request of Him; the Bible says we receive not because we ask not. Continue to ask, continue to knock, be bold with God in your requests. Even when we stumble and fall God is quick to forgive us and receive us right where we are. Jesus made the way for this hope, this abundance in God.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
We have complete and total access day in and day out to God and His tremendous love despite our often stumbling in life. We can have confidence that God loves us and will receive us because of what Jesus accomplished on our behalf.
The LORD your God is with
you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with
singing."
Zephaniah 3:17
Zephaniah 3:17 in the Amplified Bible:
The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.
If we are lacking God will fill us, the Bible says if we hunger and thirst after righteousness we will be filled,
Isaiah 45:8
"You heavens above, rain down righteousness;
let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
let salvation spring up,
let righteousness grow with it;
I, the LORD, have created it.
8Let fall in showers, you heavens, from above, and let the skies rain down righteousness [the pure, spiritual, heaven-born possibilities that have their foundation in the holy being of God]; let the earth open, and let them [skies and earth] sprout forth salvation, and let righteousness germinate and spring up [as plants do] together; I the Lord have created it.
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9
The Lord has been faithful in my life and my heart and desire toward good and righteousness has changed over the years as I have trusted the Lord and asked for Him to change me and give me a love for righteousness. He has watched over me and directed my path, despite myself and the difficulties and sins that have sidetracked me at times. He is definitely a loving heavenly father and will not forsake any of us (any of you) that put our trust in Him.
Continue to thirst and hope in the Lord, His love for you is beyond what you can imagine. The water of Gods love is free, abundant and available to all who ask.
John 4:13-14
Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
Just a few days ago I was able to go to the ocean on the West side of the United States and view many of the wonders of His creation. I sent a couple pictures that I hope Sylvester was able to print and share.
I pray the Lord blesses the rest of your time at the conference; His blessing and love fill all of you abundantly.
